Recovering in a French Gorge

After all of the climbing the past couple of days, we needed a little RnR. We would still be on our bikes of course, so it’s not total “rest”…😉 The plan was to drop us off at Villard-de-Lande then we would ride through the gorge to Pont-en-Royal. The great thing about this route was that there was practically no climbing…it was mostly downhill. I guess we could call that “recovery”!

The Vercours region is very scenic, and it’s honestly hard to describe this route in words. Riding through the Gorges de la Bourne was awe inspiring with the sheer rock faces, tunnels, and trees. Thus, I’m just going to leave it to photos and video. Oh, before I forget, I had an amazing crepes for breakfast where we finished. I’m normally not a crepes fan, but these were great!

Hmmm…these crepes…
